Detroit Lions' Kalif Raymond feeling better, but uncertain for Sunday's playoff game
The Detroit Lions could be without their punt returner Sunday for the second straight game.
Lions coach Dan Campbell said Wednesday that Kalif Raymond's left knee injury has improved over the past week but his status remains uncertain for Sunday's divisional playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Raymond was listed as out on the Lions' estimated practice report Wednesday, when the team held a walk-through instead of a practice.
"He’s better," Campbell said. "Honestly, this is going to be one of those that comes down to Friday or Saturday before we know for sure. He’s improved a ton."

The Lions used receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones to handle punts against the Rams, and also considered using Amon-Ra St. Brown and practice squad receiver Maurice Alexander to handle those duties.
Campbell said rookie tight end Sam LaPorta also "feels better than he did" after returning from a hyperextended knee to play last week against the Rams.
LaPorta caught all three passes thrown his way for 14 yards and caught a 2-yard touchdown in the Lions' 24-23 victory.
A first-round pick out of Iowa, LaPorta finished second on the Lions with 86 catches and 889 yards receiving in the regular season. He set an NFL rookie record for most receptions by a tight end.
"He was not 100%, but he helped us win that game," Campbell said. "He did exactly what we needed him to do for that game and he’s coming along.
"That’s not an easy thing for a young player. And there again, this is — if we believed that this was going to be something, man, if you do this now, the odds of you — you’re going to set yourself back for years or you’ll never be the same player, we wouldn’t put him out there. We wouldn’t even talk about it, so it’s about the way the player believes in himself and what he can get done, so he stepped up and helped us."
LaPorta was listed a full participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report. Alex Anzalone (shoulder) was limited and Frank Ragnow (knee/back/toe/rest) was a non-participant.
