Detroit Lions to host NFC championship game watch party at Ford Field next Sunday

The Detroit Lions are back in the NFC championship, and even though they are on the road against the San Francisco 49ers, you can still watch the games from the confines of Ford Field.

Following the Lions' 31-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the divisional round, the team announced it would be hosting a watch party from their home stadium for the NFC Championship next Sunday against the 49ers. The Lions will be on the road playing at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. with kickoff scheduled at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for the watch party go on sale Monday at 3:00 p.m. and pre-sale will be available at 10 a.m. for Lions Loyal Members, according to Ticketmaster.

Ford Field doors will open 90 minutes before kickoff at 5:00 p.m. for the watch party. The team will be showing the game on all video boards and display screens inside the stadium. The Lions will have seating available in 100 sections and reserved seating in the lower bowl, as well as performances from the team's cheerleaders and drumline, according to the event information listed. A portion of the proceeds will support the Detroit Lions Foundation for Youth & High School Sports, according to the event information listed online.
