Detroit Lions have 7 picks in NFL draft 2024: Here's the order
The Detroit Lions dream season fell two wins short, and one win from their first Super Bowl appearance after an epic meltdown vs. San Francisco in a 34-31 defeat. But their renaissance 2023 won't be forgotten.
The next chance to celebrate the Lions will be when the 2024 NFL draft comes to downtown Detroit from April 25-27, and we now know where the team will pick in each round.
The Lions' loss, coupled with the Baltimore Ravens being upset, moves the Lions up a spot to the No. 29 overall pick in the first round on Night 1 of the draft. They would have picked 30th had Kansas City lost due to the Chiefs' worse regular season record than Detroit.
The Lions will enter with the 29th selection in each round and have seven picks total, including two in Round 3 (thanks to the T.J. Hockenson trade) but none in Round 4.

The Lions will have a chance to pick from a plethora of players from the national champion Michigan football team. They took Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson at No. 2 overall in 2021.
Division rival Chicago owns the No. 1 overall pick (via Carolina).
