Details on Quincy Williams’ contract with Jets
The Jets re-signed linebacker Quincy Williams to a three-year contract worth $18 million that can max out at $21 million through incentives. The details and yearly cap hits are now known.
Williams gets a $4.5 million signing bonus and will have base salaries of $1.5 million in 2023, $6 million in 2024 and $6 million in 2025. His 2023 base salary and half of his 2024 base salary are guaranteed.
That creates cap hits of $3 million in 2023 and $7.5 million each in 2024 and 2025. Williams can also earn $1 million in incentives via sack and playoff incentives and $2 million in such incentives in 2025.
Overall, a solid contract for a key contributor to the defense.
