Derrick Lewis pulls out wild KO to beat Curtis Blaydes at UFC Vegas 19
Derrick Lewis wasn’t messing around on Saturday night.
Lewis came up with a wild uppercut knockout blow to top Curtis Blaydes at UFC Vegas 19. He now has 12 career KOs, tied for the most in UFC history.
Derrick Lewis’ wild KO
Lewis and Blaydes got through the first round nearly even, and Blaydes seemed to have the edge early in the second round on Saturday night. Then, as Blaydes shot in for a takedown attempt, Lewis came through.
Lewis landed the perfect uppercut and seemed to almost set Blaydes down to the Octagon floor while landing a few more punches before he was pulled off and the match was called.

“The Black Beast” has now won four straight fights, following his last win by TKO over Aleksei Oleinik in August. Blaydes had been on a four-fight win streak headed into the bout, too.
