At the beginning of a long week at UFCU Disch-Falk Field, the Texas baseball team worked an overtime shift on Tuesday.

Freshman Dee Kennedy's 10th-inning single drove in the decisive run in a 6-5 walk-off win over Air Force, improving the Longhorns' record to 12-8.

Dropped from the D1Baseball poll for the first time this season Monday, Texas quickly fell behind the visiting Falcons and trailed by 2-1, 3-1, 3-2, 4-2, 4-3 and 5-3 scores at various points of Tuesday's game. But with one out in the ninth inning, UT tied the game on Jailin Flores' two-run blast.

After pitcher Gage Boehm kept the Falcons from scoring in the top of the 10th, Texas loaded the bases with no outs. That set the stage for Kennedy, who singled a 1-0 pitch into center field. The first RBI of Kennedy's career gave Texas its first walk-off win since Garret Guillemette hit a home run to beat Texas Tech on March 26, 2023.

Texas and Air Force (9-10) close out their midweek series Wednesday afternoon. Three home games against Baylor are on UT's schedule for this upcoming weekend.
