The Detroit Lions' 24-14 win over the Green Bay Packers wasn't nearly as close as the final score indicated. To Frank Schwab & Jason Fitz, it indicated that the Lions, not the Chiefs, are truly the best team in the NFL right now and have the offense and defense to take on any team in the league and play in any conditions or style.

They're, they're going right towards that number one seed.

This is the best team in the NFC.

And I guess the question because I'm a guy who ranks football teams every Monday, are they the best team in the NFL?

Regardless of what happens tomorrow with the Chiefs?

I, I mean, I, I hate doing that because context matters if they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 72 0.

Like, yeah.

Ok. That, that would change opinions, of course.

But as I sit here right now, Fitz the team I just saw beat the Packers today is the best team in football and we'll see what happens tomorrow night.

But I, I anticipate putting up number one in the power rankings going forward.

They, yes, they have the loss that the Chiefs don't.

The Chiefs have the pedigree and all that, but they pass the eye test every week this Lions team of just, hey, we could play however you want to play, we got the best offensive line in football.

We have a quarterback, it seems a complete 90% of his passes every, every week.

Monro Saint Brown is just unbelievable.

This defense is still playing well without Aidan Hutchinson.

They really only gave up three points in this game.

Like, yeah, the Packers got a couple uh kind of garbage scores a field goal and then a touchdown and too late.

But that was after the game was done as soon as the Lions came out to start the second half, score a touchdown right now.

You know what this one's over, this ain't happening anymore.

So hats off to the Lions man.

This is to me in my eyes right now, the best team in football Frank, if you don't put the Lions number one in your power rankings, you're a coward.

If everybody can't just step back and admit that the Lions are the best team in the NFL, then all we're doing is sitting here saying, OK, Kansas City, Kansas City, Kansas City and I'm taking nothing away from the Chiefs because all they do is win even when it's ugly.

All the Chiefs do is win.

But to me and I've told you this before.

I love a team that has an audible.

I have, I love a team like a choose your own adventure book where hey, uh turn to page 72 if you want to go right, turn to page 84.

If you want to go left today, what we learned is that truly the lions are a, choose your own, whatever the adventure is, they will find a way to beat you.

And I don't want to gloss over the fact that Jared Goff 18 to 22 in this game continues to play low mistake, high efficiency football.

And when you are doing that at the quarterback, when you can trust and this team, we're gonna get into a lot about today's action.

When you can trust that your quarterback is not going to lose you the game, you have a massive advantage.

So when we talk about the best teams and the best teams, sure, that's, that's the case for Kansas City and Mahomes also.

But the difference here is I got a quarterback that's not gonna lose me the game on an offense that actually has a five or six different players that can beat you on any given Sunday with the defense that's playing well enough to win a championship.

There is no reason right now for Lions fans other than fear of heartbreak to not stand up at the top of the mountain top and say, you know what, we're going to the damn Super Bowl because we are the best team in the NFC and it is clear.
