The U.S. Women's National Team squared off against Brazil on the soccer pitch on Saturday evening in Paris as the two teams looked to secure an Olympic gold medal. It was an evenly played and dramatic match, but Mal Swanson's second half goal proved to be the difference maker for the United States.

South Carolina women's basketball head coach Dawn Staley was watching the game with extra attention. Staley, who won Olympic gold three times as a player (1996, 2000, 2004) and once as a coach (2021), made a wager with her former Gamecock standout -- and Brazilian -- Kamilla Cardoso.

After the game, Staley came to collect.

Cardoso was a good sport, responding with her jersey size and a picture of herself.

Staley is certainly looking forward to Cardoso making good on their bet soon.
