DETROIT — If the Guardians bullpen can hold, David Fry just saved Cleveland's postseason hopes with one swing.

Fry was called on to pinch-hit with a runner on in the seventh inning. The Tigers went to the bullpen, calling on Beau Brieske, a righty, to face Fry.

It didn't matter. Fry belted a go-ahead, two-run home run to left field that sent the Guardians dugout into a frenzy.

The Guardians, facing elimination, have a 4-3 lead and are nine outs away from forcing a winner-take-all Game 5.
