Here are the dates for Lafayette-area high school football 2024 homecoming games

One of the best nights in high school football is around the corner for a handful of teams in Lafayette Parish and its surrounding areas — Homecoming.

A chance for those old and new to their respective schools to gather together for an evening of festivities and a showdown on the gridiron. For some area schools, homecoming has come and gone. But, the chance to leave it all out is still to come. Most teams will hold their homecoming on Oct. 25 and the second most popular date is this week, Week 5.

Some teams host a rival for their big game, while others schedule a more beatable opponent as they look to come away with a victory in front of their homecoming crowd. The most common homecoming opponents among the area teams are Comeaux, Sulphur, North Vermilion, and Mamou. Comeaux will be the homecoming opponent for four teams while North Vermilion, Sulphur, and Mamou will be the opponent for two teams.

The Daily Advertiser has you covered on all the high school football homecoming games that you either missed or you won’t want to miss happening in the 337. All games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
