DAYTONA BEACH — Daniel Dye is no stranger to Kaulig Racing's No. 10 Chevrolet entry in the Xfinity Series, since he's run a partial season with the team this year.

The relationship will continue in 2025, but on a full-time basis. Friday at Daytona, Dye's promotion from NASCAR's Truck Series to Xfinity was announced, and the 20-year-old DeLand native was obviously excited for the opportunity.

“I’ve really enjoyed driving the Xfinity car this year, and I’m excited for the opportunity to continue working with Kaulig Racing in 2025,” said the Father Lopez High grad. “It’s been a fun experience learning the car and trying to navigate the different feeling compared to the truck."

Dye is in his second full-time season in the Truck Series, driving the No. 43 Chevy for owner Bill McAnally.

He eked into the 10-team playoff field and begins that series' seven-race playoff chase Sunday at the Milwaukee Mile. He's had six top-10s and a career-best runner-up finish in late June at Nashville.

"I’m looking forward to finishing out the season, running for the truck championship and making the most of my remaining races in the No. 10 (Xfinity car)," Dye said.

In seven Xfinity Series starts with Kaulig Racing this season, Dye has a pair of top-10s, including a seventh-place run at Indianapolis last month. He has three races left on his part-time Xfinity schedule — at Kansas, Las Vegas and Phoenix.

“Daniel has done a really great job for our team this season,” Kaulig team president Chris Rice said. “He's invested in our program and putting in the time and effort to keep getting better. I’ve been able to spend a lot of time with him throughout the season, and we’re looking forward to having him with us full time in 2025.”
