Dak Prescott suffered calf strain on game-winning play against Patriots: 'I'll be fine'
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said he suffered a right calf strain at the very end of their 35-29 overtime win against the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon.
Yet Prescott, especially considering the team is headed into a bye week, isn’t too concerned about it.
“I’ll be fine,” Prescott told reporters after the game while in a walking boot. “I promise you that.”

Prescott hit receiver CeeDee Lamb for a 35-yard touchdown in overtime to push the Cowboys to the six-point win, their fifth straight. He threw for a season-high 445 yards and three touchdowns on the day, too.
But as he came down after making that throw, Prescott said, he “came down funny” on his right leg.
Prescott said he could’ve kept going if he needed to, believing that the adrenaline of the moment would have carried him through the end.
“He was fine after the game,” Lamb said, via the Dallas Morning News’ Michael Gehlken. “I told him I love him … He’s fine.”
Prescott said he is going to get an MRI on his calf on Monday.
Though he’s battled a number of injuries in the past year, including his horrific leg injury that cut last season short and a shoulder injury in training camp earlier this fall, the 28-year-old is confident he’ll be ready to go when the Cowboys travel to take on the Minnesota Vikings in two weeks.
