Count on the Blue Jackets Topping the Maple Leafs Tuesday

Monday had just one game on the NHL slate with the Toronto Maple Leafs pummeling the Tampa Bay Lightning in a 5-2 rout. The single game slate helps set up a load NHL Tuesday with all 32 teams in action. We look to stick with one of the teams playing a back-to-back and use a solid pick from their game as our pick for Pad Stacking Challenge.

If you aren’t familiar, the Pad Stacking Challenge is an open betting strategy that uses the concept of building our bank and rolling over our profits. We do this by stacking our winnings through well-researched picks given out daily that will hopefully build our bank.

All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Blue Jackets +1.5 (-140)

The Maple Leafs played ten back-to-backs last season and in only three of them did they win both games. The Blue Jackets have been a hard team to play against as they plan to beat teams with their effort rather than star power. Columbus beat the Sabres, a struggling Avalanche team, and also keep things close for a puck line cover versus the Florida Panthers.

The Blue Jackets have won eight of their last 15 and three of their last five matchups versus the Leafs. Columbus will also get home ice advantage as well which means they've been able to sit at home and rest since last Saturday for the Leafs, who are coming off a physical game versus the Lightning.

I certainly wouldn't count out the Maple Leafs as their stars Auston Matthews and William Nylander are getting hot but the Blue Jackets should at least be able to keep things close. If we looked to roll our $17.69 from Matthews goal Monday on the Blue Jackets, we could turn it into just over $30.
