Columbus Crew officially announce Aidan Morris' departure for Middlesbrough FC
Crew have officially finalized the agreement to send midfielder Aidan Morris to Middlesbrough FC for an undisclosed transfer fee. Per the terms of the agreement, Columbus will also receive an undisclosed percentage of any future transfer fees for Morris.
Middlesbrough is in England's second-tier soccer league. The 22-year-old Morris played in his farewell match for the Crew on June 22 at Lower.com Field.

"Watching Aidan’s (Morris) growth as a player and person during his time at the Crew has been a true privilege, and we greatly appreciate his dedication to the club and our city,” said Crew general manager Issa Tall in a statement. “Aidan has always been focused on learning and improving, and he’s an exceptional role model for our academy players. We are proud of what Aidan accomplished individually and with our club as he made a significant impact in the Crew’s history."
After signing with the Crew as a homegrown talent in 2020, Morris played in more than 80 MLS regular-season matches, recording six and 14 assists in over four seasons with Columbus. Morris helped lead Columbus to two MLS Cup championships and its first CONCACAF Champions Cup final.
