Columbus Crew announce 2024 preseason schedule with training camp set to start next week
Though it feels like barley any time has passed since the Crew were holding up the 2023 MLS Cup trophy at Lower.com Field, the team has officially announced their 2024 preseason schedule.
Players are set to start reporting back to Columbus on Saturday, Jan. 20 for physicals and testing. Opening up the preseason with two days of training at OhioHealth Performance Center on Jan. 22 and Jan. 23, the Crew will then head down to Port St. Lucie, Fla., where they will spend 11 days until their return on Feb. 2.
After a few more days training back in Columbus from Feb. 3-7, the Crew will go to their second off-location training site in Santa Barbara, Calif. on Feb. 7 through Feb. 17. There has been no announcement of any scrimmages scheduled yet, though the team is expected to have some slotted in throughout the preseason.
The Crew's 2024 regular season is set to kick off at Lower.com Field on Saturday, Feb. 24, when they host Atlanta United.
