Colin Kaepernick and Stephen Curry want in on Diddy's bid for the Carolina Panthers

Now that he’s been named the world’s highest-paid celebrity by Forbes, Sean “Diddy” Combs has a new title he’s chasing after: NFL owner.
With news that the Carolina Panthers are being put up for sale following an investigation into workplace harassment claims against team founder Jerry Richardson, the music mogul is ready to make his leap into professional sports.
There are no majority African American NFL owners. Let’s make history.

First of all, it might not be entirely possible to take over an NFL team by hitting a certain number of retweets. A sports franchise is not the same thing as chicken nuggets. But we’re certainly up for trying.
Second, Diddy has earned the endorsement of some powerful, celebrity backers — and certainly the NFL will have some thoughts on who they are.
I want in on the ownership group! Let’s make it happen! https://t.co/sDR4ciciY8

Stephen Curry grew up in Charlotte and is already a Panthers fan. Kaepernick jumping into an ownership group, however, would be an extraordinary turn of events.
On the one hand, it would mean Kaepernick gets a seat at the table with other owners, to say nothing of being able to insert himself into the roster. That’s quite an uncomfortable situation for the NFL.
On the other, it would likely make the quarterback’s collusion case against the league go away. So you take the good with the bad if you’re a fellow owner who doesn’t want to see Kaepernick involved with football anytime soon.
If nothing else, this could at least lead to some sweet Sean John team apparel in Charlotte.
