Cleveland Cavaliers give contract extension to center Jarrett Allen
The offseason moves by the Cleveland Cavaliers continued Wednesday.
Center Jarrett Allen received a three-year, $91 million extension, ESPN reported.
Allen, 26, joins guard Donovan Mitchell and forward Evan Mobley among key Cavs players to receive contract extensions this summer.
Last season, the 6-foot-9 Allen averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists, but missed much of the playoffs after suffering a rib injury in the team’s first-round matchup against the Orlando Magic.
Allen was an NBA All-Star in 2022 after the Cavs acquired him from the Brooklyn Nets in 2021 as part of a four-team trade.
