Clemson RB Wayne Gallman leaves game after hit to head
Clemson running back Wayne Gallman left Saturday’s game vs. North Carolina State after he suffered a scary hit to the left side of his head.
Gallman cut back to the middle of the field after catching a pass in the flat from quarterback Deshaun Watson. As Gallman dove forward, he was hit in the facemask by the crown of an NC State defender’s helmet.
The running back, who fumbled on the play, was helped to the sidelines by trainers after the hit and eventually taken to the locker room. Targeting was not called on the play.
Wayne Gallman has been ruled out for the rest of the game with a head injury. Will not be in uniform in the second half.
