Tyreek Hill transported to hospital after injuring shoulder, sternum in Week 1 victory
Tyreek Hill’s 2019 season is already in trouble.
The Kansas City wideout was carted off the field with what was originally called a shoulder injury during the first quarter in Jacksonville on Sunday. The team ruled him out for the remainder of the game not long after.
Following a 40-26 victory over the Jaguars, Kansas City announced Hill had been taken to the hospital for further evaluation on his collarbone — which had in turn damaged his sternum.

Hill was injured after landing awkwardly on his side while being taken down by Jacksonville’s Jalen Ramsey. The team expects to have more information on Monday or Tuesday. Hill’s playing status beyond that is unknown.

The speedy receiver just signed a three-year, $35.2 million contract extension on Friday after an offseason where he was investigated for child abuse by the NFL and local law enforcement.
Hill made one catch for five yards before leaving the game.
Shortly before Hill’s injury, newly-signed Jacksonville quarterback Nick Foles broke his collarbone while throwing a touchdown for the Jags. The team announced Foles will undergo surgery on Monday.
