Chase Claypool trade looking better and better for the Steelers

When the Chicago Bears take on the Minnesota Vikings this weekend, they will do it without starting quarterback Justin Fields. With nothing to play for the team has decided to sit Fields down in favor of Nathan Peterman.

If the Bears lose, it would lock up the No. 34 overall pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers as part of the trade that sent wide receiver Chase Claypool to Chicago. And if by chance the Houston Texans could pull off a win over a beat-up Indianapolis Colts team, it would further improve the Steelers draft status with that second pick.

It is hard to put into words how much the Steelers have won this trade. That second-round pick is going to get the Steelers an upgrade in talent at a key position meanwhile Claypool has been underwhelming during his time with the Bears. Claypool has played six games for Chicago with three starts but only 12 catches.

Let us know in the comments who you think won this trade and who you would like to see Pittsburgh draft with that second-round pick.
