Ohio State football has come out blazing to start the 2024 college football season.

The No. 3 Buckeyes have outscored their opponents 157-20 across their first three games, scoring 49 points in every game this season. This week, OSU faces a newer challenge with its first Big Ten game of the season and its first road game against Michigan State in East Lansing, Michigan, on Saturday.

Quarterback Will Howard and the Buckeyes will take on the Spartans in a primetime game. The Kansas State transfer has completed 51 of 74 passes (68.9%) for 795 yards, six touchdowns and one interception this season, while Ole Miss transfer running back Quinshon Judkins has rushed for 336 yards and three touchdowns. Freshman sensation Jeremiah Smith leads the team with 14 catches for 281 yards and four scores.

The Spartans are coming off a 23-19 road loss to Boston College last week when BC quarterback Thomas Castellanos connected with receiver Lewis Bond on a 42-yard touchdown pass with 1:28 to win the game late. MSU and first-year coach Jonathan Smith opened Big Ten play with a 27-24 win over Maryland on Sept. 7.
