Championship-bound or premature? Indiana Fever fans react to firing of coach Christie Sides
The Indiana Fever are making another huge change, and fans aren't sure what to make of it.
Coach Christie Sides has been let go after two seasons. The Fever struggled in 2023 but surged to a 20-20 record in '24, earning their first playoff berth in eight years.
All-WNBA and Rookie of the Year performer Caitlin Clark led a team that boosted the WNBA's popularity. Indiana's front office has already undergone change since the season ended, with Kelly Krauskopf returning as president of basketball operations and Amber Cox coming on as general manager.

I’m a Fever fan but this announcement feels cold. One thing I saw that sides did was team development. It went from low trust to high trust and that’s not easy. Thank you for what you were able to do and I wish you the best!!

Sides being fired seems a little
premature being that her first year the Fever were bottom of the barrel and 2nd year they were in the playoffs 🥴 but maybe that’s just m. #WNBA— JT (@jalaciaaa) October 27, 2024

they didn’t become good because of christie, literally not one player would ever give christie a shout when asked what improved halfway during the season. they became good because of each other, with the way they were playing after the break the fever should have made 2nd rd https://t.co/kvxwPVM7tn
