The Ohio State Buckeyes took down the then-No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions Saturday.

They closed as a road favorite in the betting markets and showed exactly why, limiting a potent Penn State attack and really showing their best work in the red zone.

Ohio State bent a little bit, but it certainly did not break and ended up allowing just six points to its opposing offense. The lone Penn State score in the 20-13 final was a first-quarter pick-six.

That said, the Buckeyes are moving on up from their No. 4 spot in the rankings, but where are they when it comes to the College Football Playoffs?

On3's Andy Staples has them taking on an unfamiliar opponent, Boise State, in the first round. Unfortunately, should this come true, the Buckeyes wouldn't get that coveted first-round bye.

In theory, the Buckeyes would match up well with Boise State, which is a run-heavy side behind potential Heisman candidate Ashton Jeanty.

Nonetheless, for Ohio State, the rest of the season will be about how they play and prepare as it has shown it can beat some of the best teams in the country.
