On the Celtics losing a close game to the Nuggets as home streak snapped

The Boston Celtics saw their home winning streak snapped by the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets as late mistakes, poor shooting, and losing the rebounding battle cost Boston the game to Denver. A 2-of-17 shooting night for the Jay Team in particular did not help, especially in a game that saw the Nuggets Nikola Jokic shoot 14-of-22 overall and star teammate Jamal Murray hit 15-of-21 from the field.

While the loss of the historic home streak is a downer, there is still a silver lining in that this was a very close affair even with the Celtics’ rough shooting and errors. If we are graced with these two ball clubs in the 2024 NBA Finals, it seems likely to be a seven-game series filled with instant classics.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast took a close look at the loss and what it means for the bigger picture.
