Celtics G Marcus Smart announces he has coronavirus
Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart announced on Thursday he has tested positive for COVID-19. He made the revelation shortly after the Celtics announced that a single player on the team had produced a positive test.
I was tested 5 days ago and the results came back tonight, which were positive. Ive been self quarantined since the test, thank goodness. COVID-19 must be taken w the highest of seriousness. I know it’s a #1 priority for our nations health experts, & we must get more testing ASAP pic.twitter.com/xkijb9wlKV

“I’m OK. I feel fine,” Smart said. “I don’t feel any of the symptoms. But I can’t stress enough practicing social distancing and really keeping yourself away from a large group of people. Just really washing your hands — and help protect yourself and help others by protecting yourself.”
Smart’s announcement arrived on top of multiple positive COVID-19 cases either confirmed or reported among NBA teams on Thursday.
Those teams include the Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets. Details on those cases can be found here.
