Celtics burn the Heat 143-110 despite losing Kristaps Porzingis midgame
The Boston Celtics took care of business on the road vs. the Miami Heat, blowing out the Heat to the tune of 143-110 on a night they seemed almost unable to miss, gobbling up boards and moving the ball well in one of the team’s more complete games of the season.
It spoiled the first game of former Celtics combo guard Terry Rozier with his new ball club, despite Boston star big man Kristaps Porzingis (19 points) going down injured partway through the contest. Seven Celtics scored in double figures, with Jayson Tatum (26 points, 8 rebounds) leading all scorers, with Jaylen Brown (18 points, 5 assists, 3 steals) and Jrue Holiday (17 points, 5 boards, as many assists) also having solid games.
With the win, Boston improves to 35-10 this season, maintaining their hold on the Eastern Conference’s top spot.
