CBS' Kevin Harlan describes groin shot on Deshaun Watson as 'jackhammer up the middle'

This counts as colorful play-by-play.

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson took a blow to the groin late in Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears. The hit left Watson rolling on the ground in agony that most men have experienced at least once during their lifetimes.

It also forced Watson out of the game as the Texans faced fourth-and-goal 1 yard short of the end zone. A.J. McCarron replaced him and took a sack as the Texans trailed 33-7 in the third quarter. Watson would return on Houston’s next drive as Chicago went on to secure a 36-7 victory.

With the game out of hand, the lack of a score wasn’t nearly as noteworthy as the call on the injury by CBS play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan, who produced one of the most descriptive calls of the NFL season.

NFL call of the year?

We’ll let Harlan take it from here.

“Ehhh. We know where he got hit,” Harlan said as Watson writhed in pain. “And A.J. McCarron will get set to come in as Watson, clearly in pain. And he took a jackhammer up the middle.”

Well, done Kevin. That’s a call almost every man can appreciate.
