Capitals Debut Screamin' Eagle Gear, Lindgren & Thompson Break In New Setups

ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals will be wearing their new alternate Screamin' Eagle jerseys for the first time on Nov. 6, and they're starting to break in the gear as the date nears.

Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals wore their new gear ahead of their debuts of their vintage sweaters, rocking the black, cooper and blue gloves, pant shells and helmets.

Meanwhile, Charlie Lindgren and Logan Thompson debuted their new setups for the special games, which pay homage to the team's history.

Lindgren's gear sticks to his traditional iceberg theme, which he has sported on all of his pads throughout his career. Thompson's pads and blocker features a wavy pattern, similar to that of Olaf Kolzig from back in the day.

The masks keep in touch with their respective themes while tying in the Screamin' Eagle, as Lindgren also has the iceberg pattern on his helmet while Thompson has a flaming skull on his, paying tribute to his favorite hometown goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff.
