Cam Newton begins first Patriots game with a 'Bam' in golden pregame outfit
Cam Newton is starting his New England Patriots gameday career with a “Bam.”
The quarterback known for his sharp attire showed up to Gillette Stadium with his signature fedora and golden yellow suit complete with what appears to be a red rose. His loafers pull it together with a red “BAM” written in classic comic book font on a yellow burst.

Newton’s outfit choices are a topic every game day and his looks commonly take pregame conversation by storm. While with the Carolina Panthers last fall, he leaned into the babushka look and sported a Louis Vuitton scarf in the style while driving.
But such loud, individual style choices are not common occurrences for players with the New England Patriots organization. Newton clearly isn’t going to change who he is to fit the mold.
Newton also came out for pregame warmups with cleats featuring “No Justice, No Peace,” “BLM” and “7 shots,” a reference to the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin last month.
"7 shots."
"Say their names!"

Newton and the Patriots opened the season with a 21-11 win over the Miami Dolphins. The NFL painted social justice messages in the end zones for Week 1 games, and players can have a social justice decal on the back of their helmet.
