Bryce Young laughs at Giants employee’s awkward inquiry into his height

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has been, well, a bit small for his whole life. (Don’t blame the messenger, he said it himself.) So, he’s probably heard it all.

That may be why, right before taking questions about Friday night’s preseason outing, he could only laugh at this . . .

Even prior to the tiny chuckle, Young said the following in response to the New York Giants employee’s “inquiry” into his height-to-microphone ratio:

“Well, the difference between 5-9 and 5-10 is huge.”

So, yeah, you can tell he’s dealt with the jokes before.

Regardless, Young showed poise throughout the entire night, despite facing another stream of pressure from another New York defense. He completed three of his six throws for 35 yards—a line that included a 15-play, 62-yard scoring drive on his second and final possession.

With head coach Frank Reich uncertain of who will play in next Friday’s preseason finale, the 2023 No. 1 overall pick may have very well wrapped up his first NFL preseason. If he hasn’t, Young could see a little more action against the Detroit Lions in adding a few final touches to his summer work.

Remember, every inch matters.
