It's not even been two years since the Carolina Panthers stacked all of their chips on 2023 No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young. But here we are, speculating about a possible cashout between the once hopeful sides.

Well, Young himself doesn't seem too interested in playing that game—as evidenced by his first chat with reporters since his benching.

Following Thursday's practice, Vashti Hurt of Carolina Blitz asked Young if he feels like he still has a future with the Panthers.

"Really, right now, I'm a day-to-day type of person. I've talked about that kinda consistently," he replied. "Big picture stuff, that's out of my hands. That's in God's hands. Organizational stuff, that's with the people upstairs. So, I'm super grateful to be a part of the team, a part of the organization. I wanna help the team whatever way I can. That's my focus."

Head coach Dave Canales, who began the week by announcing that Young would be benched for veteran Andy Dalton moving forward, has also strayed away from any trade talk.

"Yeah, that's not something we're really considering," Canales said on Tuesday. "We have a great situation with our quarterbacks right now, with guys that have experience. So, we love where we're at."

The Panthers are currently at 0-2 as they head out west to play the Las Vegas Raiders.
