Bruins Have Interesting Trade Target In Old Friend

When looking at the Boston Bruins' current roster, it is fair to say that they could use another winger. While they undoubtedly added some good talent in free agency, they also suffered some notable losses this summer, like Jake DeBrusk and Danton Heinen.

Due to this, if the Bruins are once again one of the Eastern Conference's top teams this year, it would not be surprising in the slightest if they looked to add a scoring winger. When looking at potential trade candidates this year, former Bruins forward Frank Vatrano stands out big time.

Vatrano is entering the final season of his current deal with the Ducks. With the Ducks rebuilding, we could very well see the veteran winger made available as we get closer to the deadline. He also created chatter in the rumor mill leading up to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline.

Vatrano, 30, is coming off a fantastic season with the Ducks. In 82 games, the East Longmeadow, Massachusetts native set new career highs with 37 goals, 23 assists, 60 points, and 156 hits. Due to his all-around strong play, he was also named an All-Star for the first time in his career.

If the Bruins brought back Vatrano, he would fit nicely in their middle six, as he can play both wings. In addition, given his scoring ability, he would be an obvious choice for their power play. However, the Bruins would need to get creative to make a potential Vatrano trade work financially.

Overall, with the Bruins needing help on the wing, reuniting with Vatrano could be something worth considering.
