When the Bruins called up Viel, the expectation was that he would provide the club with more toughness. He certainly showed that off against the Blue Jackets, as he dropped the gloves with enforcer Mathieu Olivier.

Viel and Olivier are both known for their toughness, so many wondered if the two would fight. They wasted no time, as they dropped the gloves at the 17:48 mark of the first. It was also Viel's first shift as a Boston Bruin.

Overall, both players threw some good punches in the spirited fight. This was undoubtedly a great way for Viel to introduce himself to the Bruins crowd.
