Brandon Aiyuk injury update: MRI confirms 49ers WR tore ACL and MCL vs. Chiefs
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk had to be carted to the locker room during the 49ers' Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The wideout had made his second catch of the game in the second quarter - a 15-yard reception - when Kansas City cornerback Trent McDuffie started to tackle him. Soon after, fellow defensive back Chamarri Conner came in to help finish the tackle with a hit to the lower body.
During the play, Conner's contact appeared to bend Aiyuk's right knee in the wrong direction. The receiver stayed down for a few extra moments and was attended to by medical personnel.

Brandon Aiyuk injury update
On Monday, October 21, MRI testing confirmed what the 49ers initially feared. Aiyuk tore his ACL and MCL during the hit. His season is over.
Aiyuk took the hit to his right leg from Conner, a Chiefs safety, after making a catch in the second quarter.
The Fox broadcast of the 49ers vs. Chiefs showed Aiyuk limping on the sideline as he made his way to the blue medical tent following the hit, unable to put much weight on the injured leg. Moments later, Aiyuk emerged from the tent and had to be carted to the locker room.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Aiyuk pointed to his right knee while on the cart.
