Brady Manek signs deal to play in Lithuania

Former North Carolina basketball standout Brady Manek is continuing his basketball career overseas.

After another stint in the NBA Summer League with the Atlanta Hawks in which he impressed, Manek is heading to Lithuania as he has agreed to a deal with Zalgiris. Just a few weeks ago there was a report that Manek was close to a deal with Zalgiris Kaunas of Lietuvos krepšinio lyga, the defending champions, but wanted a shot at the NBA once again.

Now, Manek is set to join the team with his new deal.

Prior to this deal, Manek played for Perth in Australia and then Tofas in Turkey.

Manek played four years at Oklahoma before transferring to North Carolina for his final season. He made the most of that, helping lead the Tar Heels to the national championship game.

Manek averaged 15.1 points and 6.1 rebounds while playing 30.1 minutes per game.

With Perth, Manek averaged 13.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He then signed with Tofas and averaged 15.4 points per game.
