Boston’s blowout of Heat ‘means nothing’ if Celtics can’t take lessons to next game, says coach Joe Mazzulla
It would be easy to be celebratory about blowing out the ball club that eliminated your team from playoff contention in the previous year’s Eastern Conference Finals. But for Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzula on his team’s 144-110 blowout road win over the Miami Heat on Thursday night, it was just another regular season game.
Asked by the media after the game if the drubbing of the Heat was the best that Boston had played so far this season, Mazzulla replied via CLNS Media, “I don’t know if it’s the best we’ve played, but I think it’s the most intentional we’ve played.”
“This game was really good, but it means nothing in the grand scheme of things if we don’t take the lessons that we need to and apply them to the next game,” added the Celtics coach.
