Blue Jackets announce forward Adam Fantilli needs additional evaluation for leg laceration
Blue Jackets forward Adam Fantilli was cut by a skate blade in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken, and the resulting left leg injury will keep him out of Tuesday's road game against the St. Louis Blues, the team has announced.
Fantilli will receive further evaluation after the club returns to Columbus.
Nearly seven minutes into the second period at Climate Pledge Arena, Fantilli delivered a hit on Jared McCann and was unable to put weight on his left leg following the check. He grabbed at the wound and was taken out of the game.

Fantilli later left the arena using crutches and wearing a lengthy walking boot.
The No. 3 pick in June's draft, Fantilli has 12 goals and 15 assists. With 27 points in 49 games, he ranks fourth in scoring among NHL rookies.
