Alleged Patrick Kane rape victim accompanied friend to his home: Report
The woman accusing Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane of rape went to his Hamburg, New York home because her friend wanted to go there, according to a report in The Buffalo News.
Per the story in The News:
“They were at SkyBar, and Kane invited them to his home. Her friend really wanted to go to Kane’s house, and she didn’t want her friend to go there alone,” a friend of the woman told The Buffalo News. “It wasn’t her idea to go there.”
The piece cites two other sources that gave a similar account, a law enforcement official and a member of Buffalo’s legal community.

According to a prior story in The Buffalo News, sources told the publication Kane overpowered the woman and raped her at his home on Aug. 2. She then went to a local hospital for rape examination.
No charges have been filed.
On Wednesday, EA Sports took Kane off the cover of its NHL16 video game “in light of the ongoing investigation” the company announced.
The new cover will have teammate Jonathan Toews skating solo with the Stanley Cup.
Kane had his day with the Stanley Cup last weekend. It was more of a private and quiet affair than was previously planned.
