Paul MacLean quotes Taylor Swift, accepts profane love from fan (Video)
Paul MacLean met the media on Tuesday, one day after he was fired as head coach of the Ottawa Senators. He was grateful for the opportunity to become an NHL head coach for the first time and didn’t sound bitter at his dismissal.
He even kept his sense of humor on a few occasions during his press conference.
When asked about his “scared to death” quote from the weekend: "I thought we lost four games in a row. I didn't think we lost our sense of humour.” (via Ian Mendes)
He then quoted Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” which went over the heads of the assembled media.
But he saved his biggest piece of gold for right after that when a woman burst into the room and announced her support for MacLean.

The CBC’s Stu Mills tracked down the woman, identifying her at Andrea Ingham, who ranted against fans and local media kicking the team while its down.

If there's one thing we learned about Paul MacLean press conferences, it's that they're always amazing.
