Maryland coach Randy Edsall angrily leaves press conference (Video)
It’s been a tough week for Maryland head coach Randy Edsall.
Several reports surfaced Thursday that he would be fired after Saturday’s game against Ohio State. And after the Terps fell 49-28 to the Buckeyes, Edsall was asked a question he did not appreciate during the post-game press conference and left the podium after a stern, emphatic answer.
Edsall was asked if it was “unusual” that he shook hands with every member of his team before the game. Edsall clearly (and understandably) took exception, and told the reporter that it’s something he does before every single game.
The loss to Ohio State dropped the Terps to 2-4 on the season heading into a bye week. It remains to be seen if Edsall will be on the sidelines for Maryland’s next game against Penn State on Oct. 24.
