Jim Grobe resigns at Wake Forest
The Jim Grobe era is over after 13 years at Wake Forest.

Grobe's Demon Deacons were 4-8 this season and lost the final game of the year Saturday to Vanderbilt after the Commodores kicked a late field goal.
Those four wins mean the Grobe finishes his tenure at Wake Forest tied "Peahead" Walker with 77 wins at Wake Forest. Grobe finishes with a 77-82 record. Before his arrival in 2000, Wake Forest had won 38 games in the 1990s.
He was the 2006 ACC Coach of the Year after Wake Forest went 11-2 and won the ACC title. 2008 was Wake's last winning season and in 2011 the Demon Deacons went to the Music City Bowl but lost and finished with a 6-7 record.
