Georgia paid Ludacris $65K for 15-minute spring game performance
Atlanta-based rapper Ludacris agreed on short notice to perform at G-Day, Georgia’s annual spring game. It came at a cost, of course.
According to the Macon Telegraph, the University of Georgia Athletic Association dished out $65,000 to Luda and his crew for the 15-minute performance at Sanford Stadium.

Initially, Georgia AD Greg McGarity told reporters last week that the school was unable to schedule a musical act for the event. But, per the Telegraph, Ludacris’ representatives reached out and a deal was reached. The addition of Ludacris to the day’s festivities was announced just two days before the game.
Via an Open Records Act request, the Telegraph detailed what comes with the booking of Ludacris. In a signed contract, UGA agreed to feed and provide transportation for the rapper and his entourage and also provide some other, um, amenities.
Among the requested items for Ludacris’ dressing room:
A loaf of whole grain bread “with the most amount of grains”
Organic creamy peanut butter
Organic jelly (strawberry or grape only)
Assorted candy
Fruit Roll Ups
6 large white t-shirts
A box of condoms (Trojan Ecstasy!)
Various liquor and wine
