Bills running back Damien Harris taken off field in ambulance after hit
The Buffalo Bills endured another scary scene involving a player being taken away on an ambulance.
Running back Damien Harris was injured after being tackled by New York Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke on Sunday Night Football. The players collided shoulder-to-shoulder near the line of scrimmage on a carry by Harris.
Bills players surrounded Harris as an ambulance came onto the field. Medical personnel loaded Harris onto a backboard.
Harris gave a thumbs up with his left hand to the crowd as he was loaded into the ambulance on a stretcher. The ambulance at Highmark Stadium has a '3' graphic on the back to honor Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who suffered a cardiac arrest on Jan. 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bills announced at 9:58 p.m. that Harris has a neck injury but he has movement in his arms and legs. He is being taken to the hospital for further testing.
Harris and his wife were scheduled to have a gender reveal for their baby on Friday, according to Buffalo News reporter Katherine Fitzgerald.
Obviously, this is an emotional and scary moment for the #Bills…
