The 32-year-old has spent the majority of his career in Buffalo. He originally signed with the team in 2017, the same offseason teammate Micah Hyde did. Poyer and Hyde built a reputation as one of the best safety tandems in the NFL but will be no more. On top of Poyer’s departure, Hyde is a pending free agent as well.
Poyer finishes his Bills career with 22 interceptions.
