The Buffalo Bills held a workout with a former top draft pick and ex-AFC East wide receiver.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, Corey Davis had a workout with the Bills. Davis, who most recently played for the New York Jets and was the No. 5 overall selection via the Tennessee Titans, plans to come out of retirement:

Davis, 29, was selected near the top of the 2017 NFL draft. He retired from football and left New York in August 2023.

Per Jets Wire, Davis applied for NFL reinstatement in March. At that time, New York head coach Robert Saleh noted that the Jets were in "constant contact" with Davis, adding the "door is always going to be open for him."

A 6-foot-3 playmaker, Davis was known for his downfield ability in his career. His numbers fell off while with the Jets and their inept offenses in recent years, but he did show promise in Tennessee. Davis had 65 catches, 984 yards and five touchdowns in 2020 with the Titans.

Just earlier this week, Buffalo signed wideouts Damiere Byrd and Deon Cain to their roster. The team appears to be still scuffling the deck when it comes to finding wide receiver talent.

Bills Wire will continue to provide all roster updates throughout the 2024 season.
