Big 12 football power rankings: Utah at the top, BYU surging after a crazy Saturday

Right from the start this year, we said the Big 12 might not be the strongest conference in America, but it could be the most fun. Behold, this past weekend.

Sonny Dykes got ejected in The Battle for the Iron Skillet. West Virginia scored two late touchdowns to beat Kansas after a two-hour weather delay. Hosting Baylor, Colorado forced overtime with a desperation-throw touchdown as time ran out, then won when Travis Hunter forced a fumble/touchback at the goal line.

None of which overshadowed the biggest developments: Utah established early supremacy by winning at Oklahoma State, and Brigham Young stamped itself as team on the rise by obliterating Kansas State.
