Bengals fans furious with Zac Taylor after home upset to Patriots
The Cincinnati Bengals fell behind early to the New England Patriots in the Week 1 season opener and eventually lost, 16-10.
Given the fan service that was the entire "Open in Orange" event as the team debuted new all-orange alternates, the slow start, despite the return of Joe Burrow from injury, was not exactly what everyone had envisioned.
After years of struggles early in the season, fans were left wondering about the latest issue in this area and how long it might impact things.
Here is a look at the best reactions from fans and media alike from right after the game went final.

Bengals defense is guessing every down because they can’t stop the run.

Zac Taylor should be absolutely and rightfully dragged for that punt decision.

All that work to start fast got shaken up with a cocktail of unnecessary drama and the #Bengals lose week one - again.

FINAL: Patriots 16, #Bengals 10
Inexplicably poor in every way.
Offense never challenged the Patriots down the field. They finally found life in the run game and never went back to it, sputtering in huge moments.
Defense has the issue they feared: allowed 170 rushing yards.…— Paul Dehner Jr. (@pauldehnerjr) September 8, 2024
The Bengals have now started the season 0-1 five out of six times since 2019

Can’t get past the decision to punt.
You really pulled Burrow off the field?
You really didn’t have a play you were confident could get 5 yards when you needed it?

New England deserved to win. 16-10 in the upset at Paycor— Charlie Clifford (@char_cliff) September 8, 2024
The New England Patriots entered this year with one of the worst rosters in the NFL. Cincinnati had all but one of their starters out there today.
Scoring 10 points in your home opener and giving up 170 yards on the ground is a tough pill to swallow.— Kelsey Conway (@KelseyLConway) September 8, 2024
Honestly not even worried about Burrow, he looks good, there are just so many deep, fatal flaws throughout this organization.

The irony of Zac Taylor always wanting a light training camp and preseason is that they're still hammered by injuries. So what good did it do?
Maybe coach some real football in August and accept whatever happens.— Cincy Jungle (@CincyJungle) September 8, 2024
Are we now done with Zac Taylor as a fanbase?
Only took 5 years for you all to realize he's not a winning coach— prof. spikes (@DocStripes) September 8, 2024
Zac Taylor is a bottom 5 coach in the NFL
