Bengals announce first-round pick Jonah Williams likely to miss entire season after surgery
The Cincinnati Bengals needed to upgrade their offensive line. According to Pro Football Focus, the group was 27th in the league last year.
So they did that, drafting tackle Jonah Williams 11th overall this year.

Bengals: Williams likely to miss entire season
On Tuesday afternoon, the Bengals announced that Williams, listed at 6-foot-4, 302 pounds, will likely miss the entire 2019 season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
“We look forward to Jonah being a major contributor in the future, and know that he won’t let this injury deter him from still being an important part of this team,” coach Zac Taylor said in a release. “We’re confident in our offensive line personnel as we head into training camp, and we believe they can do their part in helping this team achieve its goals.”
Williams was immediately inserted as the starting left tackle at the start of spring camps, with Cordy Glenn kicked in to left guard.
But Williams was injured during those camps and sat out mandatory minicamp this month.
With Williams out, Glenn will likely return to the left tackle spot.
Cincinnati’s 2016 first-round pick, cornerback William Jackson, missed his rookie season because of a torn pectoral.
