The audio on the Selection Show was way off, and Twitter destroyed TBS for it

CBS changed the channel. It changed the format. It needed to change the audio setup.

The Selection Show, airing on TBS, released a list of all automatic bids followed by all of the at-large bids at the beginning of the show in an effort to speed up the reveal process. Then it moved into revealing the bracket. In past iterations of the show, the top overall seeds had been revealed immediately, followed by filling in the bracket.

And though people had major qualms with the new format, it wasn’t even the worst part of the show. The audio was way, way off. It wasn’t even close. Here’s an example:

Eventually the production crew got it figured out, but that came long after the internet had its go.
