The Jamal Adams era in the Music City has reached its finale. On Thursday, the former Seattle Seahawk and New York Jet requested to be released from the Titans, and Tennessee granted his request. Adams signed a veteran minimum contract with the Titans in July. Now, he is seeking his fourth NFL home.

This moves comes after Adams was hardly utilized by Tennessee. Despite the league already being in Week 7, Adams appeared in only three games for a grand total of 20 defensive snaps. In those, he only recorded four tackles. Adams has not played since appearing for one play in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins.

Of course, one cannot help but think about how the Seahawks were open to bringing Adams back, on the basis he switch positions from safety to linebacker. Adams was not interested in doing so. Given how much Seattle's linebacking corps have struggled this year, Adams would have most assuredly played more than 20 snaps with the Seahawks as a linebacker.

Perhaps Adams' tune might change should Seattle still be interested in getting more help along the defensive front. At the very least, both sides should have a conversation about it. For all of Adams' struggles in coverage, he still has a skillset that would translate well into the Seahawks inconsistent pass rush.
